Levent Family Selection 2010

Qualities according to the manufacturer:
A selection of the best barrels of the vintage, made ​​from selected grapes of three varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. A deep garnet red colour. An impressive aroma dominated by black forest fruits, chocolate and hot spices. A concentrated, full, harmonious and rich taste with a warm character. A long finish, velvety tannins and accents of black fruits, spices and cocoa.

Note of Vinobg:
The description on the site of the Rousse Wine House refers to the 2011 vintage, but the label of the 2010 vintage is the same, with the use of two synonyms - "soft" instead of „velvety" and “sense" instead of "accents". Oh, yes, there is one more small difference: Levent Family Selection 2011 is a blend of five varieties – the above plus Syrah and Petit Verdot. So we just copied the description from there and snipped off both extra varieties. They don’t make a difference anyway, according to the manufacturer.

Qualities and assessment according to DiVino (August 2012):
A dense purple colour with a soft tint. A complex, interesting nose with ethereal notes (lavender, rosemary), tobacco, peppers, juicy black cherry, dark chocolate and dried tomatoes. A round, elegant body with mature satin tannins and a harmonious, delicately spicy finish. This wine is in excellent condition to be drunk now, but can be age for a fem more years (2012-2016).
Assessment: An outstanding wine, a classic in its style (91 р.).

Qualities and assessment according to The Catalogue of Bulgarian Wine for 2013:
A beautiful ruby colour; an aroma of transformed fruit with black cherry, dried blueberry and plum, liquorice; a round, quiet taste; a long finish with black fruit and chocolate. An outstanding wine.
