No Man's Land Kometa 2008

80.00лв.

Qualities according to the manufacturer:
This wine is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes come from vineyards in Southern Bulgaria.
The grape harvesting was careful, selective; marking and careful selection of the individual grapes and then the berries is done in advance. The wine was matured for 10 months in French barrels of 225 l. The soils for the Merlot are light and drained, well stocked with iron. The inclination of the terrain provides excellent exposure to the sun of each vine. The optimal amount of foliage allows the vines to preserve the character of the grapes despite the hot and dry summers. The vines are 40-50 years old; their roots are deep in the soil and manage to provide water to the grapes, so that they can endure the dry and hot summers of Southwestern Bulgaria.
Limited quantity of 7262 bottles.

Qualities according to CASAVINO:
Ink-intensive colour, with nuances of development. A multi-layered aroma with a note of Madeira, emphasized by a confit note and red fruits. The taste is dominated by pronounced tannins and fresh accents, a memory of tobacco, tea and dry leaves. A dry, aromatic finish.

Qualities according to DiVino (September 2012):
A dark, saturated garnet colour with a soft brick-coloured glow. A complex nose with hints of leather, blackcurrant liqueur, roasted black fruit, liquorice and cocoa. A medium, harmonious body with velvety ripe tannins and a long, slightly spicy finish with essential notes and tar. The wine has an aging potential, but is ready to drink now (2012-2015). An excellent wine.

Qualities and assessment according to The Catalogue of Bulgarian Wine for 2013:
A beautiful dark ruby colour with a brick edge; a complex nose - dark chocolate, walnut leaves, fruits confit; a suede body with a long peppery finish. An outstanding wine.
