Brandy Cask Cabernet Sauvignon Special Reserve 2007

80.00лв.

Qualities according to the Bacchus Magazine:
An opaque garnet colour with development. A rich bouquet of sweet aromas: flavoured tobacco, vanilla, chocolate and cognac liqueur on a clean wine basis. The taste completes and complements the rich experience of the nose with a sweet fruit, and a sense of comfort. It ends softly with an elegant finish and pronounced warmth.

Qualities according to DiVino (June 2011):
The colour is a beautiful, lively dark garnet. A complex, medium intense, interesting nose with accents of roasted chestnuts, cocoa, green walnut liqueur, moss and violets. The taste is lively, well structured and tight with a long noble aftertaste of dried red fruit and cocoa. The wine is currently at its peak.

Comment of Vinobg:
On the official website with results of Vinaria 2010 and Vinaria 2011, and also on the official website of Black Sea Gold AD, the wine BRANDY CASK Cabernet Sauvignon VGNP, South Black Sea Coast Region 2007 is listed as having won a gold medal at both Vinarias. The winner of the Golden Rhyton for 2011 in the category "Red varieties and red blended wines from older vintages" is declared to be Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, which is clearly different from the gold medal winner BRANDY CASK ... On the official website of Vinaria 2011, they have not even bothered to say of which vintage this mysterious Cabernet is. To add to the confusion, it is reported in the "News" section of the official website of Black Sea Gold AD that the Golden Rhyton for 2011 in that category is not actually earned by the indifferent Cabernet Sauvignon from the list of Vinaria’s prizes, which could have come from some village barrel, but by Cabernet Sauvignon Brandy Cask 2007. It seems to be the same as the one quoted in the beginning, but is not VGNP (whatever that means). This is more than we can bear. Such imprecision, replacements and downright lies mislead the consumers, and which is the worst, the progressive international community. We don’t mind if non-progressive communities are mislead, but why the progressive one? Because of those tricks of theirs, we don’t count the gold medals from Vinaria on our website and only give them as additional information for the wines that have been awarded with foreign gold. If things go on like this, we’ll soon stop counting the Golden Rhyta too, since we don’t know for what wine they actually give them...
Otherwise the Brandy Cask Cabernet Sauvignon Special Reserve 2007 is an excellent wine. We recommend it. Our boss said that he would drink it even if it cost a hundred and forty leva. But he’s a rich guy. We prefer it cheaper.
